My DFW Doctor is the practice website of Dr. Vijay Katari, MD, and many of the people it serves are older adults. Being usable by everyone — whatever your eyesight, dexterity, hearing or assistive technology — is not an add-on here; it is the job. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
What this site provides
An accessibility panel is available on every page — the round button in the corner of your screen. It lets you:
- Make the text larger in two steps, sitewide.
- Switch to high contrast colours.
- Underline every link so they never rely on colour alone.
- Use a more readable font throughout.
- Reduce motion — this stops the site's animations and scroll effects, and also takes effect for the page-reveal animations from your next page.
- Highlight keyboard focus and enlarge the cursor.
Your choices are remembered on your device. The site also respects your operating system's “reduce motion” setting automatically, every page is navigable by keyboard, images carry text alternatives, and booking is never gated on anything a keyboard or screen-reader user cannot do — a typed name confirms your booking acknowledgement, and the drawn signature is optional.
Where we depend on others
Some steps use third-party services we do not control: online scheduling (healow), electronic forms (DocuSign) and the Patient Portal. Their accessibility is governed by those providers. If any of them gives you trouble, skip it — call us at (214) 884-2774 and our staff will complete the same step with you by phone.
Tell us what isn't working
If any part of this website is hard for you to use, we want to know, and we will make the information or service available to you another way in the meantime. Call (214) 884-2774 or use the contact page.
